When 21-year-old Kiran came to Cytecare, he was in unbearable pain, confined to a wheelchair, and told by multiple hospitals that amputation was the only answer. His family, financially strained and emotionally exhausted, had nearly lost hope.
But our multidisciplinary team believed otherwise. Led by Dr Deepak G Shivarathre, Senior Consultant – Orthopaedics and Ortho Oncology, Director – Spire Clinics, along with Dr. Vikas Chavan, Associate Consultant – Orthopaedics, and Dr Kiran J, Senior Consultant - Plastic Reconstructive Hand and Cosmetic Surgery, a highly complex limb salvage surgery was performed.
